Quality label

Measuring excellence in university-world of work partnerships

The Dual education quality label

We developed quality standards for Dual education programmes. Our label helps institutions improve their partnerships with the world of work.

The label measures integration depth. How well do universities and the world of work work together?

The model framework for Dual study programmes foundation

Our quality label builds on the Dual Higher Education (DHE) model framework for dual study programmes. The rector’s council adopted this framework in June 2024.

This comprehensive framework defines seven dimensions that structure all aspects of Dual Higher Education:

Each dimension includes mandatory criteria that form the baseline for quality. Our assessment process evaluates how well institutions implement these dimensions across their programmes.

The Common Dual Model represents the first internationally coordinated approach to dual education. It allows any higher education programme in Europe to adopt the dual approach.

Our quality assessment measures how well institutions implement these seven characteristics. We evaluate the depth of integration between universities and businesses against this framework.
